Father Christmas has been eyeing up the perfect spot for his sleigh in Coventry city centre this Christmas Eve. CV One’s car parking manager Tony Golding has reserved a space on the top floor of the new Belgrade Plaza Car Park for Santa to stop off in the city. The car park recently opened after being extended and refurbished for developers Oakmoor Deeley as the first phase of the £130 million Belgrade Plaza scheme. It now has more than 1,100 spaces over nine storeys and has an ultra-modern lift and reception area. Tony said: “It’s an ideal place for Father Christmas to land his sleigh when he does his last few pick-ups before his biggest night of the year. “We have reserved him a space because the car park is sure to get busier and busier as more shoppers get their last minute shopping done. “We don’t want him to be struggling to find a spot.” He added: “Belgrade Plaza is a major new development for the city centre and once complete will act as a fantastic new gateway from the ring road. “In fact, this is the first car park that is directly accessible from the ring road in the city centre which is extremely convenient for shoppers – and Santa!” |
